"failed to load, please retry" error

Issue: A "failed to load, please retry" error appears when you hover the mouse over the check marks in Gmail.

Explanation:  This is being caused by a conflict between Mailtrack and an ad-blocker e.g. Ghostery, Privacy Badger.

If you add  mailtrack.io to the ad-blocker's trusted sites list the "failed to load, please retry" error should no longer appear.
